Guess What Kind Of Week I Had?..... CRAZY...that's right!

This week has flown by so quick and fast I really don't know where it went.
Maybe it snuck off with October because it is going by so fast too!
Transfer calls are in two weeks and Sister Munk and I are amazed!

We have had a crazy week with two team ups which were fun and awesome.
I went with Sister Kaufusi, for the first one and it was nice to talk with her see how she is doing.
She has grown so much! Love her!

Then I went with Sister Davis! I have served around her but never really got to know her.
So for two hours we had a blast. She is amazing missionary who loves the gospel and is hilarious!
I can't wait to serve with her again! Forgot to take pictures with them. Sorry!

Carmicheal Zone

Biking doesn't end well sometimes.... clumsy me... :)

We have done a lot of biking this week.
I biked before -- in my old areas --  but this place it so hilly.
Sometimes, I look up at these things and say "Wow! Another Mount Everest!"
I'll look back at Sister Munk and just laugh!
We have fun -- once we reach the top and go down the thing.
I really ... "believe I can fly."

We did service for the Fair Oaks library!
Marking book, packing books, moving books
and had a grand time
with a few older ladies from Germany, who worked there.
I loved hearing them tease each other and making funny jokes.
They got a kick every time I said "Yes ma'am."

Samantha is doing amazing! She is progressing so fast in the Gospel!
She is reading the Book of Mormon and praying every night.
She loves to tell us what her favorite scriptures as she reads. I love her.
We got to sing with her in the YSA choir in sacrament meeting.
Just to sing with her and my companion - Sister Munk, made me so happy --
and confirmed that we will always be friends.
We created an event for her baptism on Facebook and she is already inviting people to it.
She is so excited.
The members are helping her too.
We are going to have a lesson with her tonight ! So excited!

Skylar is going to be baptized this Saturday! All of us are so happy for him!

This week I studied a lot about prayer and how to receive answers to prayers, how we feel when we are touched by the Holy Ghost etc ... Mostly, I am doing it for those we are teaching but as I have been studying --
I have learned so much.
There is a prayer activity in Preach My Gospel that I love doing, but I never been hit as hard
with a light bulb moment
than yesterday when I was listening to Bishop Hernandez teach the Relief Society about prayer.
Song cue.... "For the Beauty Of the Earth..."
He said,  "When you pray, imagine our Savior Jesus Christ
kneeling down right beside you or standing right beside you."
Just since yesterday  -- I have had so much more of a desire to pray all the time with real intent.
I can already tell a difference and more peace.
I cannot begin to tell you how much love and gratitude I have for my Heavenly Father and my Savior.

Oh! We watched the face to face event with Studio C.
It is amazing and I encourage all of you to watch it! I learned a ton!

Pumpkin time!
We are all getting ready
for Halloween!
 Sister Munk and I
carved pumpkins ðŸŽƒ today!
That was fun!!

I am going to roast the seeds! Yummm.....

Caught my pet lizard ... his name has Ralph

Thanks everyone for commenting on my Facebook posts. It means a lot!
Don't forget that you can be a missionary on social media too! I have a lot of fun doing it!

Hope you all have a great week and wish you all the best!

Miracles Are Unfolding

This week has been one of the busiest and craziest weeks in my mission!
Why?
Because miracles are unfolding!
I am sooooooooo excited!

First things first ... we received a referral for a girl name Samantha .
We called her and set up a appointment  to teach the Restoration of the Gospel. She loved it and was open to hear more so we set up another appointment the next day and brought an awesome member- Shivani.
There we taught the Plan of Salvation.
She loved it even more!
We invited her to be baptized and she said Yes!!
We went home that night and prayed for the right date for her and she also prayed.
Two days later we taught her the Gospel of Jesus Christ and extended the date of 12 of November
The biggest smile came on her face and she said,  "Absolutely!!"
 I love this girl!
The next night she went to a YSA activity with the YSA girls in the Ward and had a blast.
On Sunday we were welcoming people in and Samantha comes up talking to all the girls with such great light
--  ready to hear the talks and take the sacrament!
I loved sitting next to her and hearing her try to sing the church hymns (since they were unfamiliar)
She really truly has a desire to grow her relationship with Christ!

Next thing, Skylar,  who is the brother of our recent convert Gregory, wants to be baptized.  So we taught him and he had his baptismal interview yesterday and he passed.
He came out and said " I am so ready to be baptized" he is only 10 and to hear that form him warmed my heart. Made me think of my little sister, Cindyann, who got baptized in July!

We also went on two exchanges this week.
The first one was with Sister Clemens and Sister Kaufusi.
Sister Clemens came here with me and
she is one of the sweetest girls I know.
She is very quiet and sweet.
I had a blast with her!

Then I went on exchanges again Friday and Saturday with
Sister McDonald, who came to my area again.
We had a blast because we are so alike but also because we had to bike everywhere  in a two day rain storm!
Is was so much fun
and surprisingly we met people on the street
that actually wanted to talk to us.
It rained so much that my watch broke,
so I am now just wearing my watch tan.
I love the rain!!
And it is getting colder -- so that is real nice!

On Sunday, Ron got a calling and he passed the sacrament!
He did such a great job!
Sister Munk and I were so proud!

Just with all these miracles that Sister Munk and I have been receiving we really are being blessed from the Lord!  I love Him so much!!

It's All About LOVE, LOVE, LOVE, LOVE

Hello everybody!! This week has been full of events and it was amazing!

Sister Munk and I had MLC, it was the coolest ever.
We had an activity where there were two lines and
you had to say a compliment to the person right across from you.
The compliment had to be in the lines of the four pillars of the mission
( Obedience, Attitude, Knowledge, Work Ethic)
we only had to say these compliments within 20 secs.
After it was up you move over to the next person and compliment them.
After that role play we all felt really good and more unified.
So being more unified,
we looked at the people who are on date to be baptized in the month of October
and made a goal.
The goal is 25!

We had a training after about how we really need to focus on what helps those come closer to the water of baptism  -- it happens when we love them  -- when we love those we serve. So Matthew 22:36-39.

Master, which is the great commandment in the law?
Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart,
and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.
This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like unto it,
Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself.

Love and charity is how this whole thing started. Our Heavenly loved us so much to create a plan where we can become like him. Love us so much that he sent His only begotten Son to die for us so we can live with Him again. Love everyone!

So with that all in mind,  the Zone leaders with Sister Munk and I,
had to take what we'd learned and give a training to the missionaries in our zone.
We did the same activity,
but focused on how our attitude really does effect the way we work together
as a zone and individually in our own areas.
Sister Munk's first one and she was the bomb!
Attitude in missionary work is everything. And in life.
The clothes you can be sad in are the same clothes you can be happy in.

We did park service- we shoved wood chips for two hours and let me tell you-
our arms were sore.
It was so nice to wear jeans and work outside! I love service!

I went on a exchange with Sister Lalomanu in her area and Sister Davis came to our with Sister Munk.
I love those sisters sooooo much. There awesome!
I had my interview with President this week and every time I come out of that room I feel ten times better and so happy. He is the greatest! We talked a lot of how I changed and a few other things.

Ron got the Aaronic priesthood yesterday at church.
He was so happy!
He can't wait to go to the Temple and do Baptisms for the Dead for his family members!

Aaron (another recent convert) wants to do that as well,  so one of these days this week
we are going to find some family names from our family history
and take them to the temple!
I am so excited!

Zach finally came to church!!!!  It was awesome! He loved it!

We are now finding more and one of many things we are starting is to bike in our area!  This area is soooooooo hilly!! My legs hurt! But in a good way! Wish us luck this week because this one is going to be really busy!

Oh, I got my flu shot today.... yay!

ANOTHER CRAZY WEEK FULL OF JOY

This week has been crazy!!
Sister Munk and I have going to non stop appts!
I love it!
We are going to have a even crazier week this week!
We have two exchanges, meetings, finding people, following up with our investigators and helping them toward baptism!

Justin said that he really wants to be baptism not soon but pretty soon. I don't really know the difference except he said that he really wants the gift of the Holy Ghost! Then Zach said that he wants to be baptized with in the next three months! That made me want to cry because for a while we weren't able to have contact with him and then he said that. He also made goals to read the scriptures everyday and to pray everyday and he has been doing that! He can see a difference and so can we! I love it when I get to see others grow in he gospel and see the rewards / blessings it has in store for them! Got to see Ron and he is doing awesome, already going home teaching and watching general conference .... my joy meter almost, no, it tipped over this week. Aron watched the last session of conference with us and Deshaun are doing great too! We have a couple of people that we are working with and they are doing great!

General Conference was this weekend and I loved it how my favorite word got its own talk and it made special appearances in all the other talks in the Sunday sessions!
JOY! JOY!
I loved it how they talked about how we can receive joy,
what joy can do for you,
how you can give joy to others.
I left my notes at home but the summary of what I can remember is.
-The Gospel is true, don't doubt your testimony and faith in it. No matter what.
-Sometimes we doubt but when we pray to our Heavenly Father we can know for certain the gospel truths, principals, doctrine etc..
Just Pray
- have JOY!!!
- Love your family and look out for them
- The Plan of Salvation is a wonderful thing to know, so share it. It make me happy so I know it will make others happy
- Now is the time to work to together no matter what calling you have in the church to spread happiness around the world and don't give up!
I loved General Conference soooo much!!!

Sunday: it RAINED .....
I am soooo happy!
Sister Teague told me " You know when the saints meet the heaven weep" -
I thought that was kinda cute.

It is also really overcast and in the 60's here so I'm loving it.
I love my companion! Sister Munk is one of the cutest, sweetest people I've met!
We have a lot in common and I know that this transfer is going to be fun!
One funny hung that happened this week was when we wanted to heart attack the Northridge sisters apartment but has we were getting ready they rode up by the car and sister Munk tried to tell me but sounds just came out of her mouth as she pointed to my window. I look out and Sister Beck's face is rig there. It scared my a ton that I screamed which then made Sister Munk scream then which made us all laugh.
So much for being secret agents.
Hope you all the best and love you all.
